MojoMedia launched the first Facebook novella

“Met Belgerinkel naar de winkel” is an initiative from Bond Beter Leefmilieu, Unizo & CM. When they came to us for an inventive idea to promote their 2011 campaign with the theme “biking & love”, we gladly took this challenge.
Instead of just talking about the possibilities of social media, we decided to launch one of the biggest social media campaigns in Belgium and created the first interactive Facebook novella. A true storytelling case that started with the stolen bike of celebrity Roos Van Acker.
The story really began when she asked the friends on her public Facebook page to help find her bike back. A story that started as reality but soon became an intriguing adventure with the search for the thief, footage from a security camera and a relationship with the guy who took the bike and finally got exposed as a stalker. But in the end, Roos found the love of her life and they both rode their bikes happily ever after.
This story was told through text, pictures and videos on Facebook and Twitter but got media attention really fast. A lot of media picked up the story which resulted in a lot of press and tv coverage and exposure for “Met Belgerinkel naar de winkel”.
